Budapest has been one of our favorite cities to visit. We visited in January, when the weather was basically slush, but there was plenty to keep us busy. There actually hadn’t been any Asian restaurants on our list when we arrived. As we walked around, however, we found a handful of Vietnamese restaurants.
Our schedule was already pretty full with the restaurants I had bookmarked, but after our tour of the Hungarian National Gallery at the Buda Castle, we had our final meal at Quan Non, a Vietnamese restaurant along the bus route back to the apartment. The weather was still miserably wintry, and a steaming bowl of noodle soup was the perfect way to wrap up our trip to this quintessentially Eastern European city. Like we do.
As mentioned above, this was the best meal for the cold, wet January weather. We shared an order of spring rolls and each had a beef pho. Flavorful. Delicious. Simple as that.
